Though setup is simple, a narrow window for tech support means you had better iron out snags early. With a price tag one penny shy of 500 clams (you can buy it online for less), there’s no denying that Logitech’s Harmony 1100 Universal Remote is pricey, until you compare it with touch-screen remote controls from companies such as Crestron and AMX, which cost several times more. We've been big fans of Logitech 's Harmony universal remote controls for some time now. The Harmony One won an Award last year, while the Harmony 1000, this rectangular-shaped tablet control's predecessor, bagged a five-star recommendation back in October 2007. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

On its release, this remote was out of the ordinary. Now, its screen suffers in comparison with smartphones: resistive, not bright enough and with reduced viewing angles - it doesn't feel as if it should cost this much! Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

This sets up very easily and has allowed me to stow away 4 different remotes. All the functions for all of my units work great, although it takes a little searching to find some of them. Switching from TV to a game system or watching a DVD takes a push of only 2 buttons. Turning the entire system on or off - only 2 buttons. Upon turning the systems on or off, it always prompts you to verify that the units have responded correctly by pressing OK or asking for more help.. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

Finally, a universal remote that actually allows you to pack away all your other remotes. The Harmony 1100 can, if you're patient, be programmed to handle even the smallest function and in whatever order you prefer. It will take time to tweak all the settings to you liking, but the end result is well worth it. I don't know how I ever lived with my electronics before! Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

Replaced old computer programmed remote with this Logitech 1100 (based on a recommendation) and I am happy with it. Sometimes it seems a little buggy when trying to download the new information from computer to the remote. Love how it is compatible with practically all equipment and was only medium difficulty to program on my own. Would buy this again. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

To use as a Media Center remote, choose device type: Media Center PC, Manufacturer: Microsoft, Mode: "Windows Media Center SE". This profile contains the MCE remote buttons as well as the IR keyboard shortcuts. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- Controls just about everything with an IR receiver, including Lutron Maestro IR wall/lamp dimmers
- Unlike the 1000 and 890, does not support ZWave or any other RF devices. Even when linked with the Logitech RF extender, you can ONLY control IR devices.
