The Logitech Harmony 700 Universal Remote was really not all that hard to get set up because it came with a USB cord to plug in to your computer and all I really had to do was to do that and log in to Harmony Remote website and answer a few questions about my system and the way they are set up and the Harmony Remoter website did most of the hard work. Now that I have the Harmony 700, I can’t imagine going back to my multi-remote cluster. The unit is well designed and the usability of the setup wizard is top-notch. In the end the remote does what it claims to do – and does it well. On the usability side, if my wife and 6 year-old can use it, anyone can. This is a very good remote for the price. I thought it was pretty easy to set up. So far any short falls that I have found is not do to the remote but do the device the remote is controlling. The help function is a very nice feature to help my wife figure out which component did not go on or off. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- I really like when it lights up when lifting the remote. Makes it easy to find the volume in the dark.
- I wish it came with the charging cradle instead of the usb cable for charging,

This is our second Harmony remote; the first lasted for about 5 years. This one is more comfortable in the hand than our first one and we think the buttons are more intuitively placed. Since we already had the Harmony software set up on our computer, it was a breeze to set up the new one -- just plugged it in to the USB port and told the software to transfer the settings to the new remote. I Purchased this directly from Logitech when it was on sale. This is my second logitech Harmony remote. I upgraded from my aging and dying Harmony 360. All my prior settings transferred to the new remote flawlessly. Only down side is that I cannot enter 45-1 as the - is not recognized. It isn't an issue for cable box owners. I use this for my home theater set up and it works really well. Honestly, you don't need someone to program it for you. The software is online through the manufacturer, it's free, and it walks you through the entire process step by step. All you need are the model numbers of the devices you'll be using.
