Whether you've decided to make the leap to all digital, or plan to keep some of your analog components for a while, the Onkyo TX-SR607 makes an excellent choice for the foundation of a 7.2 channel surround home theater system. Support for legacy components is excellent, yet the unit has as much digital support as you could want. The Audyssey system employed here has proven its effectiveness in a number of models from different manufacturers. Although some more costly ampliï¬�ers take the setup much further, the Onkyo still manages to sound clean and reasonably transparent when setup using the supplied microphone, especially with a matching set of speakers. We really had a great time with the Onkyo TX-SR607. It's an amazing-quality product that offers everything a home-cinema enthusiast could possibly want out of an AV receiver. Beware. This is one of 100's of articles on HI DEF: I started having this same problem with my 606 last September. I brought it to my local certified Onkyo repair facility at the beginning of October and got it back a month later. Everything was working well until a few weeks ago. I'm now about to bring it in for repair for the second time, as the handshaking problem gets worse every day. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

i'm using it to replace a 30 year old yamaha it has an easy life, running only 2 sets of stereo speakers inputted units include cassette player and cd player but it's home theater ready when i am! Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

Very good product. Drives my 62" Toshiba, five Polk speakers and my old Sony beast sub-woofer for a great experience, rattles the windows when I crank it up. A user friendly, sophisticated receiver with more inputs that you will ever need. Automatically upgrades to 1080i, which is not necessarily true. It does the best that it can do with what it has to deal with. Maybe not 1080i, but it will make you standard DVD's look as good as they can.
