Smooth, balanced footage without tics and jerks trumps slightly-off color every time, and both the accessories and dual battery capabilities make the UltraHD 3 a far more flexible model than any in Flip’s line. But there are other pocketcams that capture higher-resolution video, megapixel stills, and endowed with more capabilities – if not the improved image stabilization or stupid-simple operation – at a similar price. What the new 2-hour Cisco Flip UltraHD lacks in features, it makes up for in pure, elegant simplicity. The camcorder offers some slight improvements over its predecessor: It's thinner and less bulky - with a thickness of 22.3mm versus the old Flip UltraHD's 29.46mm - but still a bit too chunky to slip comfortably into any but the biggest of pockets. The Flip UltraHD, which features a new video compression engine, 8GB of internal flash memory, an HDMI output, and 720/30p HD video recording, is currently on the market for $199—that’s $30 cheaper than the Flip MinoHD if you’re taking notes. Great ease of use. No complicated procedures. As easy to use as a basic telephone. The down loadable program is not as easy as the camcorder, but is far easier than most digital camera programming. Works great with YouTube and FaceBook. It's just as easy as power on then point and shoot. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- Ease of use and quality of recordings. It's got a great mic and sound quality too!
- The download program may not work with every computer and takes a little practice to figure out.
Flip is good but completely dead after 14 months.

We really enjoyed using our little Flip video camera but after about 9 months the recording time started decreasing and after 14 months it is now totally dead. Hard reset did not work as various forums suggested and the Flip support page was not much help. I have not yet called the 24 hour support number but the Flip website says that despite the fact the 1 year warranty is expired (purchased x-mas 2010) I can still pony up $80 for a refurbished replacement. A simple to use, effective camera for capturing life as it happens. Don't use the zoom, move closer. I use it as a second camera or stunt camera on freeskiing videos where a more expensive camera could get destroyed. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

User-friendly, fun, and useful

I used this product to shoot various drafts of the compositions that students choreographed for a dance class I TAed. The quick transfer from camera to internet allowed the dancers to observe their progress and look at their work right away to apply the feedback they received in class. Overall, the Flip proved so user-friendly, fun, and useful, that I got a Flip for my personal use! Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
