The Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 USM L IS is capable to deliver a near-flawless performance is all categories. The resolution figures are very impressive even at max. aperture. Fantastische lens in alle opzichten. Had niet gedacht dat deze zo scherp zou zijn. In vergelijk met de mark2 70/200mm. een mooi licht gewicht. Dit is een echte l lens ,met een fantastische 4 stops image stabilizer. Lees Meer

I was out of photography for a few years, and got back into it in 2011. I went through a few telephoto lenses (Canon 55-250 kit lens, Canon 70-300 IS (non-L) before I bit the bullet and got the 70-200 f4L IS. This was definitely my best purchase to date. On my Canon 50D I could easily see a difference between my prior telephoto lenses and the 70-200 f4L IS - better resolution and more contrast. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

I know flash flattens everything out, but for sports, it's fine. I like to defuse my flash, but what ever you do, don't cover half of the on-mount flash with electrical tape...because it starts smoking and smelling really bad. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- Auto focus is fast and just like the f/2.8 IS. I took photos of a mountain bike race, and the auto focus was spot on (just make sure it's set to continuously focus).
- You will need to get used to, or learn how to use flash. In those indoor areas, or if the sun is covered by the clouds in a shadowy area under trees, you will need fla...
