Because of its popularity, initial copies of the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L USM Lens Mug were very hard to obtain - and multiple test copies were definitely warranted for this important product. At almost a third of the price of the big brother lens, comparisons are a little unfair. This smaller, lighter, slower version is a very nice lens for the money and produces excellent results. Being that much smaller and lighter, it makes a good companion for some of the smaller cameras in Canon’s line up such as the 20D and the 350D without the price and weight penalty of the top end lens. It’s time for a little change! I’ve just purchased a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM lens for outdoors use. Yes, it’s not an f/2.8, nor does it have IS, but this will suit my needs for the time being. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

I was hoping for a little better image quality, but for the price I guess it is good. I was able to get some good shots of images from a pretty good distance of say 60 feet and some o.k. shots between 60 and 300 feet depending on the size of the object. For instance, I shot a photo of a person sitting in a crowd at an arena from halfway across and you can definetly tell who the person is. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

- Not excellent in image quality but good.

Depois de usar uma 24-70 2.8 comecei a substituir minhas lentes pela série L, pelo fator qualidade. Essa lente (70-200 4.0) tem um preço incrível pelo benefício. Uma lente com ótima nitidez e qualidade mesmo em ambientes com pouca luz (ISOs mais altos). É muito leve (mais leve que a 24-70) e de fácil manuseio (controle macio). Recomendo a todos que querem uma mini tele para o dia a dia, vai valer cada centavo. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

- Fstop 4 but worth the mon, No IS

Marketing our Egyptian Arabian horses depends first on eye catching photography. So I need moving & posing shots. I was greatly impressed with the extreme fast focus & rapid shots I got. (Horses never stand still for very long.) I didn't know my Canon 20D could fire shots this fast! Using my several of my old lens they never did the job this new one does. Am I Happy? You bet! This is indeed a very nice portraitlens on my 400D. Use this lens on f4 and further up to f14 and your results will be nice and with good contrast. I had to send my lens with my 400D to a service point for calibration.My copy had focusproblems (also on a new 7D at the shop) After this calibration (lens is paired with camera) my pictures are very sharp and nice. This calibration is a well known (at least at the servicecenter) issue and is carried out under warranty. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
