This lens performs well throughout the zoom range, especially at shorter focal lengths in the centre of the frame. At 300mm stopping down the lens a little will produce the best results. With a price tag of £440 this lens represents good value, due to its good sharpness, build quality and the useful Vibration Reduction feature. Vooral nodig voor detailweergave van gebouwen. Gewicht valt erg mee vergeleken met mijn andere Nikon lenzen, maar daar staat een zeer interresante prijs tegenover. CA in de hoeken is in Photoshop goed weg te drukken. Scherpte, erg goed. Lees Meer

I am happy with the lens, however a little disapointed that I did not receive the accessory kit (lens filters-3) that was suppose to be included with the lens. It's hard to go wrong with a Nikkor lens and this is no exception. This is a very good lens to compliment the 18-70 mm but if you already have the 18-200mm (one of the best all around lenses on the market) then don't spend the money. Long focal lengths (effective 105-450 mm), crisp pictures, vibration reduction, and great price make this a strong lens. The downside is the cheap (e.g. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

This is nice lens when you have lots of light or a flash. The VR is a very nice feature to steady your shots. Do not expect sharp images shot without a tripod or monopod at distant subjects at 300mm. The AF-S is quick. I have not experienced any lens creep. I like using the manual focus ring to fine tune the focus without the need to hit a switch to manual only. The nine-blade rounded diaphragm produces nice backgrounds. This is a very nice zoom in this price range. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
