Awesome, solid lens used to replace Canon T2i kit lens. Really like the image quality and large aperture (excellent bokeh) Focus is nice and smooth. Auto/Manual switch very easy to change compared to kit lens. Walmart onlline had it for $20 cheaper, but since I had several giftcards, Best Buy was the way to go. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

- Lens hood (petal style) can cast shadows on your subject.

Ik heb deze lens ter vervanging van mijn nikon kitlens gekocht (18-55 ). Wat opvalt is dat bij dezelfde instelling, iso waarde, sluitertijd en diafragma de foto's met de sigma beter belicht en getere kleuren geeft. Lees Meer

I can't believe the price of this lens, vs. the features and quality. Believe me, I owned more than 25 lenses, 1/3 of them are Canon L lens. I know this is not the best quality compare to L, or even some top performers in none L category, but the quality is sufficient for everyday use. - Small, compact. Good optics for such a wide range.
- Soft corners at 18mm wide open. Canon version must be focused parfocally above 135mm.
