    Though the omission of a faster Firewire or eSata interface is disappointing, there is still a use for the Little Disk 301860 in a casual home user environment. The drive stores up to 500gb of data which is more than enough and the 1 year online backup gives added security that your data will always be available should something go awry with the drive.     Nice one, Sam. It's pleasant enough, plus it has an integrated USB cable. It tucks discreetly inside the case, a real boon to portability, but if the cable breaks you're screwed. Still, file transfer times were quite speedy. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    LaCie Inleiding Omdat ik tegenwoordig veel werk met multimedia producties had ik niet meer voldoende aan mijn USB stickje. Ik kreeg van iemand de tip om een externe harde schijf aan te schaffen. Nou ben ik geen computerfreak, maar ik heb geluisterd. En wat heeft dit apparaatje mij al een gemak opgeleverd. De externe hard disk is een apparaat dat extra geheugen biedt. En het woordje extra is eigenlijk veel te summier. Op een USB stick kan ik al veel data opslaan. Lees Meer

    Can't say how well it works because it requires more power than my mac provides through the usb cable .SO , it strains my MAC and causes overheating , AND finding the LaCie external power adaptor is not easy , plus it costs another $25 !!!!!     The 5400 rpm drives in most mobile enclosures, including this one, are not the fastest. But the firewire interface is great when working with others in the advertising and media fields- we all have macs. Plus this drive has a striking look and smart design that creative folks appreciate. It all makes for a professional presentation, and I will keep buying these as long as they make them.     It worked the 1st three times maybe, then all the sudden my computer didn't recognize it. I can't get to anything I saved onto it. I am still communicating with the lacie service techs trying to figure out why I cannot open it. I have pictures on there that LUCKILY I did not delete. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
