can best be described as an expansion pack to Ruby and Sapphire. It takes place in the same world, with the same Pokedex, and has the same storyline, with slight variations. It does have new features, such as the Battle Frontier system and some other more subtle additions. Regardless, the comparions to Ruby and Sapphire are unavoidable. Nintendo is always an interesting company to ponder. While it is usually very easy to guess what they are going to do, they always go that extra mile to defy your expectations somewhere along the line. In the case of Pokémon Emerald , that a director’s cut variation of the Ruby and Sapphire games would be made was easy to predict. What I didn’t predict was that a game so very similar to several others I had played would be so very engaging. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

Pokemon has always been a huge craze since its launch in America and especially in Japan. Nintendo has done a wonderful job milking it for every cent that it's worth. They further prove this by releasing the eleventh version of this series with Emerald, which retains the Pokemon charm while offering little to draw in new fans. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

I have two boys ages nine and six. My 6 year old thinks this pokemon game is even better than the ot Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- Many hours of fun for true Pokemon lovers.
- Doesn't hold the interest of casual players long enough to get to the new levels.

Even if it's the 9th Pokémon game on Nintendo's GameBoy systems (in North America), it is still popular and a pretty good game. If you haven't try the Ruby or Sapphire version, give it a shot. The newly added features are good too. You can catch the 3 legendary Pokémon, you fight with both Aqua and Magma Team, Battle Frontier has been added, etc. Also, slight change in the story, but basically, it is the same as Ruby and Sapphire. Overall, that's a good RPG !!! Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- The slight changes in the gameplay and story makes it worth it !!
- If you already own Ruby or Sapphire version, you might get bored...

Introduction Pokemon Emerald was bought out in the UK in 2005 for the Game Boy Advance (GBA). As with all Game Boy games you can use them on new platforms that are released, for example: A GBA game works in a Nintendo DS and DS lite A Gameboy Color game works in a GBA, a Nintendo DS and DS lite A Gameboy game works in a Gameboy Color, a GBA, a Nintendo DS and DS lite Very handy to know as Nintendo don't tend to make many of the classic games for their newer platforms. - Hundreds of hours of game play
- You're not going to complete it unless you get your friends involved

I will start out by saying that Pokemon Emerald will feel just like a rehash of Ruby and Sapphire ho Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- Lots of new stuff, battle frontier, real double battles.
- Not linkable with G/S/C versions of pokemon. Certain legendaries are not catchable in-game. Costs 35$

Whether or not you buy Emerald depends on your love for Pokemon and your current collection of games. Unless you're an absolute perfectionist, I wouldn't suggest getting Emerald if you already have either Ruby or Sapphire. There just aren't enough changes to warrant the extra purchase. That said if you don't own ANY of the above games, get Emerald rather than the other two: it has almost everything they have, plus a lot more besides. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
