The series that revolutionized the party game genre, if it didn't pioneer it, is back in its fifth incarnation. By this time, one would expect the games to start getting stale, and while this is mildly true, Hudson Soft has included enough new games and play modes to keep fans interested, and newcomers enthralled. 'Mario Party 5' erfindet die Reihe nicht neu, kann jedoch mit sinnvollen Verbesserungen aufwarten: Vor allem die schicken Spielbretter rechtfertigen den Kauf für Multiplayer-Freunde. Schade nur, dass bei den Mini-Spielen wieder einmal einige Nieten dabei sind. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
Back in the days of the Nintendo 64, it became clear that Super Mario 64 was going to be the only true Mario game that would be made for that console. Shigeru Miyamoto actually came out at one point and stated that he was limited by the N64’s processing capabilities in the making of Super Mario 64, and that the Italian plumber’s next true adventure wouldn’t be released until Nintendo’s next console. I definitely played my share of Mario titles during my life. It all started with Super Mario for the Gameboy, since only later in my life was I introduced to the classic Arcade Game itself. Other titles followed, more titles for the Gameboy including Super Mario 2, one of my all time favourites I still play these days, the various Mario titles for NES and SNES and recently we have seen Super Mario Sunshine being released on the Gamecube. The N64 was home to the first version of Mario Party a while back. This was a fun game with addicting mini games people wanted to play. Introduction I am very fond of the Mario Party series, having all except Mario Party and Mario Party 3. I was excited to see what this game would be like. Gameplay - 7/10 The gameplay is generally the same as before, with some changes. For those of you who have never played a Mario Party game, you play on a number of large game boards (seven in this game), and roll the dice to see who can be the first to reach the randomly-placed stars. Mario and co are trying to stop Bowser from ruining Dream Land where all dreams come to life. Defeat him by moving through all new boards to defeat the Mini Bowsers. When you beat them, you will unlock another level for you to play. As good as it may sound, Mario Party 5 is incredibly dull. It is not very good playing on your own but it is a blast playing with your friends! The game features lots of completely new mini-games! Some of them are actually quite good.
