Metroid Prime was een geweldig goed spel en wordt door veel mensen, magazines en sites nog steeds gezien als het beste spel van deze generatie consoles. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes bouwt verder op deze Prime-formule en voegt daar nieuwe gameplay-elementen, betere graphics én een multiplayermode aan toe. Dit tweede deel is geen vernieuwender, maar zeker weten wel een beter spel dan het eerste deel. Iedereen met een Gamecube is eigenlijk verplicht om deze game te kopen. Lees Meer

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is, at its heart, a tribute to Metroid fans, and if for some reason you're a series vet who missed out on or skipped this title the first time around, then you've yet to play one of the most relentlessly challenging and addicting experiences the franchise has to offer. For a game that sports Echoes as a subtitle, you would be forgiven for thinking that you are about to relive Retro’s 2002 effort all over again but MP2 does little to substantiate the appropriateness of its title. An echo can be classed as a repetition or an imitation but to me MP2 is 20% an echo of its 2002 counterpart and a salient 80% advance in innovation and improvement over what came before. This game is undescribable. To start i paid £4.99 for a copy of this game. Which to be honest is what it is a copy. this game is almost exactly the same as the first one, but not ground breaking. the first gamecube version was moderate...ly bad but the second game doesn't even do the first one justice. this game has a distinct feeling about it. this could be due to the lack of any action at all. - The perfect "expansion pack" for those who lived and loved the first one.
- Cripplingly difficult at times, with some discouraging frustrations early on.

People keep claiming that Halo is the best game ever, but this game and the original beat Halo 1 & 2 by far. The gameplay is unique, fun and there is plenty to do unlike Halo's same classic style of FPS. The puzzle solving through using morph ball and through using different weapons to get to new places keeps one hooked. This is very much like the original, but improved in every way.
