    Overall the Sony BDV-E300 is a fairly good home theater in a box system with the addition of Blu-ray support. If you are looking to add surround sound to a small to mid-size room and want the capability to play HD movies this system will work well, and its sale price works with most budgets. The setup utilities are make the initial calibration process painless, and the color coded wires make sure even non-techie can get this system playing music or movies in no time.     With limited digital media support – including an inexplicable inability to play MP3, WMA and DivX from discs and USB sticks – the BDV-E300 isn’t the kind of all-singing, all-dancing system you’d get from LG or Samsung. What’s more, the lack of Wi-Fi (as found on Sony’s latest players) further underlines the system’s outdated feel.     This has performed exceptionally well as with all of the Sony devices I own. I have come to respect the quality from Sony after owning various other name brand products that did not perform up to my expectations. Very pleased with ease of setup. Great purchase!!
