    Media streamers are growing in capability, with this the first to be DivX accredited. Installation is easy (even more so with a Viiv PC and router), with 802.11g wireless and wired networking options, plus USB for local content. There's no server software included, but Windows Media Player 11 can be used to access your host PC's audio, photos and video.     D-Link's DSM-510 earned four stars in our last group test of streaming media receivers. Like Zyxel's DMA1100P, the DSM-510 looks more like a router than part of a home entertainment system and will be more conspicuous under most TV units than Netgear's larger EVA9150, but its compact case and optional stand that props it on its side is an advantage if you want to save space.     I had a problem to install first D-Link DSM-510 device that I bought. When I started to configure device I chose wireless connection. And device software just hung. Reset was not available and power on/off didn't help. I called to tech support and finally they recommended me to exchange device. J&R replaced DSM-510 without problem.     It is a great divice when it works as it supposed to be. The main reason I bought it for is to translate video files (and also pictures and music) from my computer room to a living room. While there is no issue with music and pictures the video files have many playback problems.Also, Nero software that comes with this D-Link is not a best one. I tryed it but end up with TwonkyMedia.So, this product requires some work before it becomes fully functional. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Kaum eine Videodatei (gestreamt oder direkt mittels USB-Schnittstelle) kann fehlerfrei wiedergegeben werden. Stockende Bilder bis zu 40 Sekunden und länger sporadisch auftretend, vermiesen einem gänzlich den Seh-Genuss. Ausserdem ist die gesamte Menüführung mehr als plump und hölzern.     Den DSM 510 habe ich in unser Netzwerk eingebunden. Er arbeitet sehr zuverlässig. Die Drahtlosverbindung ist sehr stabil. Man muss allerdings wissen, dass der DSM keine Listen abspielen kann, wenn bei einer Netzwerkplatte ein Passwort abgefragt wird. Das ist leider nicht dokumentiert. Mein DSM kam mit der Software 1.08.
