Het ASRock bord lijkt iets toe te moeten geven op de Asus en Gigabyte borden al is dit slechts marginaal. Qua grafische prestaties presteert het bord dan wel weer fantastisch. Overigens kunnen de prestaties nog aardig stijgen wanneer de final-versie van het BIOS uitkomt. Samenvattend vind ik de prijs, features en prestaties meer dan voldoende om het ASRock het predicaat "Uitstekend" te geven. Lees Meer

Knowing ASrock as a company that usually pumps out zillions of colourfull entry level boards, sometimes innovating by integrating older technology like eg AGP slots onto new platforms, makes them stand out from the crowd. Sadly when you mention ASrock, most immediately are thinking about cheap hardware, correlating it with poor build quality and durability, lack of features... With the testing wrapped up, it's now time to cut to the chase. Our results generally suggest that the 890GX Extreme3 is a very good competitor to the previously reviewed M4A89GTD PRO motherboard. From our experience, the product was stable, sported a mature design and had a feature set that would satisfy most. ASRock has done a fine job bringing all of the newest features to the 890GX Extreme3 motherboard. This board has SATA 6 Gb/second, USB 3.0 and even external SATA 6 Gb/second. The UCC chip allows users to unlock locked cores assuming the CPU can do it. The other feature that really sets this motherboard apart from other 890GX boards is the three PCI Express x16 slots, allowing three ATI cards to be set up in CrossfireX mode. A great all round motherboard by ASRock. Large feature set with a small price tag. Unlocks cores, has USB 3.0 and Sata III, overclocks quite well, nothing horribly bad about this motherboard. The BIOS could be better and the drastic overvolting may be a hindrance, but if you're looking for a great motherboard at a great price, look no further, because you've found it. - Not the best BIOS, no LLC (resorts to automatic overvolting of up to 0.075v above set voltage during load to compensate), layout could be better.
