    The Canon PIXMA MP640 is a sharply designed printer that could be a great fit in many different environments.  It is a 3-in-1 device that can scan-to a USB flash drive or automatically print a double sided at a touch of a button. Having said that, I would not recommend the MP640 to anyone in an office environment with a high monthly duty cycle or with a need to quickly print large documents or files since those were the areas I saw the MP640 faltering the most.     I t's just a little bigger than the MP620 we called "quite a deal" in our review a year ago, but Canon claims the new MP640 is much faster. But duplex printing returns to this PIXMA, we're glad to see. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    This is a great printer for everybody, and it's perfectly at home with all sorts of printing. It's fast and accurate for documents and photos, cheap to run and has WiFi and double-sided printing.     The MP640 is by no means perfect, but that's forgiveable considering just how high it's aiming. Like most Pixmas, however, it does all the important things well, and does nothing badly, which is a good start.     What you get if you choose the Canon PIXMA MP640 is a versatile, well-designed, easy-to-use all-in-one. It may not be the cheapest to run, but you do get high quality photo prints, better than average plain paper prints and the facility to set up plain and photo paper simultaneously.     This is the 2nd Canon multi purpose in a row that I have had very little useful life with. I bought this one just over a year ago, and with light use, it developed a print head issue. I also think this is a big ink hog. I print very little in color, but the colored ink get sucked up even in B&W printing. Probably better off with a cheap Lexmark, so I don't feel so bad when I have to trash it. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Nice printer, I didn't realize it comes with a built in flat panel copier function. Just lift the lid, place a page (to copy) face down on the glass, press print! Good quality printing on plain paper. Small LED screen allows easy selection of different functions, and selection of pics from camera flash card, though I haven't tried this. Also built in plain paper tray, allows you to just send/print a document, and front tray opens automatically, to hold printed document. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Gah, where to start. I'm highly educated in computers and LAN setup but this useless printer is a nightmare. Every now and then it just simply refuses to print things over wireless. I know this is a problem for lots of Mac users, but I'm a PC user, and it is a huge problem for me too. The printer connects to my wireless network correctly (it gets an IP and if I check in my router control panel I can see that the printer is connected). Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Too many Pixma models in Canon's lineup, and as a consumer, it frustrates me. Got to Canon's website, pick the all-in-one lineup (either home or office versions), and compare three models across the board. Mostly same features, same prices. De eersteklas PIXMA MP640 is uitzonderlijk geschikt voor de ervaren gebruiker. Het apparaat kan via Ethernet of Wi-Fi onopvallend worden gefuseerd in uw thuisnetwerk. Het hele gezin kan nu printen, kopiëren en scannen met fotolabkwaliteit.

Canon voldoet aan de ISO-industriestandaard voor het bepalen van kopieer- en printsnelheden. Hierdoor kunt u eenvoudig de juiste PIXMA uitkiezen op basis van reële printsnelheden voor documenten. De Canon PIXMA MP640 biedt ISO ESAT-snelheden van 8,1 ipm voor kleur documenten en 9,2 ipm voor zwart/wit.

Canon’s FINE-printkop met 1 pl inktdruppels, biedt u een printresolutie van maar liefst 2400 x 9600 dpi. Fotoafdrukken bevatten zeer vloeiende kleurverloop, zonder korrels. Een randloze afdruk van 15 x 10 cm, wordt met de standaardinstellingen geprint in ongeveer 20 seconden. Printen is tevens mogelijk via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IrDA-IR en Ethernet.

De PIXMA MP640 kent vijf gescheiden inkttanks, die afzonderlijk kunnen worden vervangen. Dankzij dit systeem wordt er zo min mogelijk inkt verspild. De vier kleuren inktpatronen leveren fotoafdrukken van zeer goede kwaliteit, terwijl de extra zwarte pigmentinkt haarscherpe documenten produceert.

Met de scanner van 2400 dpi, kunt u de allerkleinste details scannen. De software MP Navigator EX biedt opties voor OCR en PDF-bewerking, aangevuld met verschillende mogelijkheden voor beeldcorrectie. De Auto Scan Mode herkent vanzelf het type document dat u scant en selecteert automatisch de juiste instellingen.

U kunt de printer bedienen met het intuïtieve Easy Scroll Wheel en foto’s vooraf bekijken op het 7,5 cm heldere TFT kleurenscherm. U kunt printen vanaf en scannen naar een geheugenkaarten of USB geheugenstick. Tevens kunt u een overeenkomstige fotocamera aansluiten via PictBridge.

Dankzij twee aparte papierinvoer, kunt u zowel normaal papier als fotopapier tegelijk plaatsen. Met de functie voor ‘automatisch dubbelzijdig printen’, kunt u eenvoudig dubbelzijdige, professionele documenten printen. U kunt CD’s en DVD’s een persoonlijk accent geven door direct op de schijf te printen.

De ChromaLife100+ technologie staat garant voor duurzame en zeer uitzonderlijke foto’s. Wanneer u de PIXMA MP640 gebruikt in combinatie met originele fotopapier en inktpatronen, blijven afdrukken een leven lang mooi.

  • Kan niet draadloos printen

    Scannen gaat prima. Ik heb ook verbinding met printer maar printopdracht wordt afgebroken, waarschijnlijk door time-out.

    Ik heb, ongeveer, het zelfde probleem. Ik krijg steeds de melding Printer reageert niet. Voorheen geen problemen. De Canon Helpdesk weet het ook niet. Dachten eerst een fout van de router maar ik ben nu in het bezit van een nieuwe router en het probleem doet zich nog steeds voor. Jammer van de printer en Canon. Dit was hem dan voor mij......geen Canon
