When you consider the end result here, you have to hand it to Intel for delivering more performance in a lower power platform, that was already just sipping on the average 3 or 6-cell battery. We're looking forward to watching this evolution of Atom take shape in new products down the road and how far Intel can take this one-chip wonder in the future. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

The Asus Eee PC 1005PE based on Intel's new Pine Trail range with an Intel Atom N450 processor, whereas the Intel GMA 3150 graphic and NM10 chip set is integrated in the processor, was majorly impressive in our test . The increased battery life and the lower power consumption are delighting plus points and the stated maximum battery life by the manufacturer could be exceeded by lengths with 13 hours and 15 minutes . The ASUS Eee PC 1005PE ($379) is one of the first netbooks to hit the market with Intel’s new Atom N450 processor and NM10 chipset, code named Pine Trail, which promises a 20 percent decrease in average power consumption. A direct descendant of the Asus Eee PCs, the 1005PE has been build on the same recipe: a high-quality netbook, comfortable to use and with good battery life. We were nicely surprised by the screen contrast and the record battery life. We would however have liked to see some design changes (less gloss) and a slightly quieter machine. I bought this mainly for travelling, and it worked fine for awhile. I really loved it for its portability and mainly only used it for web browsing and some light MS Office work - so it was perfect for my purposes. Now, after 19 months (of course, after the warranty period), it will not power up. I'm told there's a problem with the motherboard. Prior to this, I had to buy a replacement AC adapter since the original one wouldn't work without having to hold it in place. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

express gate button is a plus. Lightweight and size is convenient. Netbook is very slow and a disappointing product. Going to Skype on express gate button the mic does not work . Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

Very small, light weight computer Battery life is excellent The ASUS O/S is annoying. Debating on removing it from the drive Performance is slower than a standard laptop. I was an early netbook and ASUS adopter. I have a eeePC 700 series (yup, 7" screen, 4 Gb flash HDD, running linux...). and loved that machine (still have it) and appreciated many of the nice features (hardware and software) provided by ASUS. Das Produkt weist eine gravierende Display-Störung auf, ständig flackert der Bildschirm, teilweise 60x hintereinander. Ich habe das Produkt bereits zweimal zur Reparatur eingeschickt, das Problem besteht jedoch weiterhin. Meine dritte Reparaturanfrage nimmt asus nicht an, auch ein Rückkauf wurde ausgeschlossen.
