    The thing I liked the most about the Samsung SE-S084C is its ‘quiet in operation’ attribute and is still speedy for the most part.  Although the DVD burning test showed that it did not quite reach it’s claimed 8x writing speed (its average was about 4.85x), it did reach a maximum ripping speed of x17 (its claimed read speed is 24x) which is sufficient enough for what is required from a product that will be used as a portable medium on netbooks or a macbook air.  Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Let us summarise the most important positive and negative points below: The main Positive points: The Samsung SE-S084C was able to burn all our tested CD-R media with excellent/very good quality.. The Samsung SE-S084C wrote our tested DVD+R/RW media with very good/excellent quality. The software bundle is also of a high standard and should provide all the essential tools for burning CD and DVD media. Reading performance and reliability was excellent.     I first bought this blue drive sold by LLYTech via Amazon. I attempted to connect it to a laptop and then a netbook, both of which failed to even recognize it. The power connection to the drive felt loose and I had to jiggle and hold the mini-USB plug just to get enough power for the door to pop open. But it was a very unstable connection.     I finally burned some disks, both CD's and DVD's; they seem fine. This is my 2nd burner of this style. The first one is made by "A8U8" which I paid $10.00 more. I found this one is just as good in every way. The foams inside protects the drive itself well, but the cut in a piece of the foam for the cable, the manual and the disk allows empty space inside the box. The retailer was not careful enough in handling the box, and crumbled the box quite a bit on that side. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Bin mit dem Gerät zufrieden, hatte da erst meine Bedenken aber am Ende habe ich es nicht bereut das Gerät gekauft zu haben.Die gebrannten CD s und DVD s wurden alle von meinem DVD Player erkannt somit hatte ich da keine Ausfälle. Die Schublade macht man allerdings besser mit zwei Händen zu, weil es mit einer Hand schlecht klappt und die Schublade dann in der Mitte klemmt.
