  1. This is a sata drive not pata

    I bought these drives under the impression that they are with a pata connection since they are listed as pata or ide pata but when I received the drives via ups I found out that they are actually sata. I don't have that kind of connection with my old computer I found them in the ubuntu linux community as compatible DVD burners for IDE pata interface for this operating system of which I use.     Just replaced it with a SATA drive. It is faster and doesn't freeze when it encounters an error. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    • Very cheap. Burns everything without complaint of hiccup.
    • Am unable to boot from this drive.

    Finally bit the bullet and upgraded from ata to sata seeing as the motherboard I have is still way up to date. Loved the fact that it has 3 easily interchangable bezels and comes with a SATA cable already, Nero 9 akes burning discs a breeze, really quiet so am impressed with this item :) Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
