Final Thoughts I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I received the ION 330HT. I have seen small HTPC systems that were just garbage, but with the Intel Atom processor and the NVIDIA ION GPU this system really is the perfect home theater system. First let’s talk about High Definition playback, this system easily played back Blu-ray movies with the ASUS SBC-04D1S-U External Slim Blu-ray Combo Drive we tested it with. As you may have guessed from its rather telling name, the Asrock ION 330 is based on nVidia's ION platform. This comprises a Pico-ITXe motherboard that features nVidia's GeForce 9400M GPU, either DDR3 1066 or DDR2 800 memory and a variant of Intel's Atom processor. nVidia reckons the ION will give nettops and netbooks far more firepower and after putting the Asrock ION 330 to the test, we can only agree with nVidia's claims. I got one of those to use as a media box under Ubuntu. Ubuntu runs fine. HD video is good, although streaming web videos are a bit choppy in full screen mode at full 1080P resolution (damn flash player!). My main gripe with this box is that it puts out an incredible amount of RF interferences into my stereo. I use the pre-amp outputs on my receiver/amp to feed active studio monitors (KRK Rokit-8). Very useful for biz operations. But also for video editing and transcoding with CUDA options (LoiLoScope PowerDirector for AVCHD, MovieShow Espresso for converting videos). Ich habe mir im Oktober 2009 den kleinen Asrock ION zugelegt weil ich keine Lust mehr auf meinen "alten" XP2400+ PC hatte. Da der Rechner bei mir ohnehin hauptsächlich als Fileserver läuft, und ich nur hin und wieder Spiele wie Far Cry, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2 und Simcity 4 spiele und mir das Gesumme und der Stromverbrauch der grossen, alten Kiste auf den Nerv ging, beschloss ich mir den ASROCK ION 330 zuzulegen. Ich habe Windows 7 auf dem Rechner installiert und das läuft stabil und flott. Die Ausstattung ist absolut nicht zu verachten. Auch anspruchsvollere Anwendungen kann man damit machen, manche laufen dann allerdings etwas langsam. Die mitgelieferte FB ist echt praktisch und funktioniert einwandfrei. Kann ich jeden empfehlen der ein kleinen PC im Wohnzimmer stehen haben möchte. Habe Windows 7 installiert, läuft prima. Wer Filme, Bilder etc. über seinen Flat ansehen will und auch mal ins Netz möchte überhaupt kein Problem. Von mir ein klarer Kauftipp. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
