    With a street price at under $200, the Logitech G51 speaker system is an incredible bargain. Like all of Logitech’s G-series products, the G51 surround sound system is designed for gaming, and delivers impressive features and performance for its $200 USD price tag. It has a long list of features, including matrix surround mode for two-channel audio, and customizable satellites that can have “skins” added to them (even ones you make yourself) for a unique look. And Logitech’s new G51 system is a good value if $200 is the absolute top of your budget and you must have a 5.1-channel system. Some great new games with awesome soundtracks are now available—BioShock being just one example—so we understand why many people will sacrifice audio fidelity in order to afford inexpensive surround-sound...     When it comes down to it, games and other multimedia feed on all of your senses-except for taste and smell, but I'm sure companies are working on that. Typically, if you want a fully immersive experience while playing games, watching movies, or listening to music, it requires more than fancy looking graphics to "ooh" and "ahh" the masses.     The G51 is the newest addition to Logitech's surround speaker line-up. The gunmetal and black colour scheme is aimed at gamers, and the satellites have Perspex covers under which artwork can be inserted (visit www.logitech.com/G51skins for game-themed designs to print out).     I am a previous owner of the X-540's but wasnt so satisfied with the sound quality, althought they are excellent but i knew there had to be something out there that was better, so i gave them to my younger brother and decided to upgrade to these speakers.     Great system for the money. It sounds good, in an average size living room (that's how is mine). I use it on my laptop which doesn't have a 5.1 audio card, once it has a matrix mode it splits the low and the high frequencies, giving you a sensation of having a 5.1 Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Maybe I am just being picky because I am coming from a THX certified line of speakers that had awesome sound reproduction, and quality all around. They got damaged in moving (they lasted 5 years) so I had to replace them and so far, these Logitechs don't measure up. That's what I get for going cheap. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    I bought these speakers (perhaps stupidly) while I was at university and had that "just got a massive loan instalment in and my rent's not due for a week - what shall I buy" moments. I say it was a stupid choice not because of the product quality but because of my chain of decisions, especially as I only had a 6' x 5' room at the time.
