In short...WOW. Logitech has done it again. They have taken their Z-680s and pumped them full of aural steroids while updating their looks and features. A perfect evolution. For music, movies and games these speakers are excellent. There are very few low points to discuss with this product. I found one or two random songs lacking in the mid-range department. I don't know where to start. These speakers are just amazing, the clarity this speaker set delivered was unmatched. Even the Logitech Z-680s could not compete with the Z-5500s. Both sets are incredibly loud and offer superior bass than anything I've owned before and yes, I've even owned Klipsch and Bose Speakers. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

I purchased this system about 2yrs ago (for $345). I use it with my Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Platinum card which makes this system scream. I do like to listen to my music very loud and I have yet to blow any of the speakers. I would recommend you use a good sound card to get the full affect though. The subwoofer beats any of the other surround sound systems with no popping that you would sometimes get from listening to movies. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

I bought this to replace a Gigaworks 7.1 surround sound system for my new gaming PC. I use a Sound-Blaster Audigy 2 ZS with my old PC and tried this speaker system with it as well as the new PC which is equipped with a Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion card in it. I used all the inputs from each PC to the control panel with this set- direct connect with the triple cable, s/pdif coax, and optical. All inputs sounded the same- bad! Its an excellent system all round! And for all you whingers complaining it needs more Optical ports. PLUG THE DAMN THING IN THROUGH YOUR TV! THEN ALL AUDIO RUNS THROUGH THAT! SO EVERYTHING THAT IS CONNECTED TO YOUR TV WILL PLAY AUDIO THROUGH YOUR Z-5500!! Idiots.. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
