- Speakers can sound a bit too bright, and occasionally tinny. Cables are hard-wired, can't be replaced without repair. No remote control.

You know you’ve found a great value in speakers when the only criticisms you can lob at them are that they lack modular cables, and that they sound grating when you crank them to near full volume. As a whole, Logitech’s Z523 speaker system delivered exceptional performance with both music and games, which is a remarkable accomplishment for speakers in this price range. The Logitech Z523 comes more highly recommended than any other under-$100 PC speaker system. The 5.25-inch subwoofer impresses testers with distortion-free bass at all but the loudest volume. The curvy piano-black satellite speakers can sound a little harsh or tinny on the highs at times, testers say, but overall the Z523 sounds better than anything else in this price range. These speakers sound really great. They have a lot of bass without losing the high-end sound. The volume is plenty for a home office or even a small living room. There is a knob to vary the bass level which is very handy. The power cord and line to connect to the audio source could be a little longer, but my speakers are on a different desk than my PC so this may not be an issue for most folks. I purchased these based on price and the positive reviews of others expecting them to be pretty good. After connecting to my computer and trying them out I am stunned and pleasantly surprised that they sound great. As others have stated I had to turn the base down and can only turn the volume up to a minimum as they are loud. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

This isn't a top-of-the-line system, but it works great as a mid range budget set. It gets the job done and looks great doing it. Would recommend if you don't have a lot of room to work with. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- -Acceptable mid's and high's, great bass(for wattage)
- -Bass can sometimes be overpowering, will muffle high's a little bit, although not a big issue since there is a bass control on speaker

I listen to classic rock, hard rock and blues rock. These speakers handle anything. The bass is true quality and adjustable. the mids and highs awesome. the sub makes all the difference in the sound expirience[...]a little static initially that went away with use. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
