    Though the Canon PIXMA iP4700 does have some additional advantages over its predecessors, there is not a lot in terms of performance of this unit that would warrant an upgrade. If you are looking for a new inkjet photo printer that has some good environmental benefits, easy connectivity and a handy DPI for photos then this model should meet those requirements.     The Canon Pixma IP4700 also retains some of the features we loved most about the IP4600, including two paper trays, the fact users are warned on their PC screen if the print output tray is closed and the ability to print on to DVDs and CDs using the included dedicated tray.     When it prints, it is decent enough, but it can take an hour of fiddling and resetting to get the infamous "Error 6c10" to go away. In the mean time, it has cleaned the heads 20 times and used up half the ink. After giving up on HP printers, I thought I had found a winner in Canon. Boy was I wrong. Worst printer I have ever owned. To add insult to injury, the printer was expensive and so is the ink. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    To get a quality photo printer that also has built in auto duplex is a great find. This printer replaces a Canon i550 which I had for years and worked well for me. I'm glad I now have the ip4700. It's much quieter and faster than the old i550. I especially like the cassette tray which stores my 8.5 x 11 plain paper. It keeps the paper dust free, preventing any dirt from being drawn into the print head and other internals. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Ich habe seit ca. 1996 schon mehrere Drucker für meine PCs gehabt, zumeist von HP, und ich bin ganz sicher nicht der Perfektionist, der wegen jeder Kleinigkeit gleich meckern muss. Ich finde es völlig i.O. verschiedenste Optionen auch manuell einstellen zu müssen oder beim Wechsel von Formaten oder der Papiergröße bzw. der Papierart auch mal zu warten.     For years i always said i would not buy a printer and had no need, Then came my Daughter of course now i need a way to print pictures not just myself but for family also.     Using Canon ink and paper, photos look great, better than most retailers churn out, colours are pretty accurate out of the box, and improvements can be made by playing around with colour profiles, some are supplied for Canon papers. Text is dark and crisp, and being able to keep plain paper in the lower cartridge makes for an easy life, just feed photo paper in the back if required and the printer can sort out which to use.
