The Optoma HD20 is among the least expensive 1080p projectors available, and reviews thus far say it is more capable than similarly priced projectors, such as the Vivitek H1081 (*Est. $950) . Picture quality is good, with terrific colors right out of the box. Brightness is high enough that the Optoma HD20 will work in most viewing settings, including living rooms and family rooms. One of most exciting new products is their new HD20 projector. It is a 1080p DLP-based upon .65-inch BrilliantColor 16:9 ratio chipset. The HD20's brilliant color is provided via a six-segment (RGB), four-speed color wheel, with video processing courtesy of Pixelworks' PW392 video processor. I changed from an LCD projector to this DLP. It is very, very, very, good. As I have not been used to the rainbow effect, especially during high speed gaming, it came as a shock to me at first. But for a bright, sharp 1080p projector for about a grand, who cares? Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

I've owned this projector for eight months. The lamp just burned out at 530 hours. I'm a little bent at that. Other than that I really like the projector. I have it ceiling mounted. I spent the extra money to get an Optoma mount, and am happy I did--adjusting the projector position is a breeze. Can't go more than three stars due to lamp life. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

I bought this over a year ago and haven't had any problems with it in that whole time. I spent quite a bit of time trying to find the one that was right for me and I am very happy with this one. If your still on the fence I doubt you could go wrong with this model. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- I got this along with a 9 by 16 foot screen and have it set up in my backyard. It plays my Xbox games beautifully.
- It does take a bit of throw distance for you to get the full screen. You can use it indoors, but in smaller rooms you will only get about 110 inch screen.

Great projector for it's price. I got it thru Best Buy, so that if something goes wrong, I wouldn't have to worry about issues. So far, every things been great. I'm a huge techie, and I honestly thought that I'd have to spend a great deal on a high-end projector, nope, not at all. Very satisfied with what I have. - Compact, quiet, extremely user friendly interface & controls, cheap maintenance & management, beautiful picture for both gaming and movies.
- Lens controls are limited, so you have to position well. Only available in white (a black model, and earth tones availability would have been nice).
