Eagle-eyed readers will know that the PT-AE4000E has proved to be just such a chip off the old block, with a best-in-class for 2010 Award rubber-stamping our approval for this LCD projector.     Whether you want to look at the hardware it has or the results it produces, this is a high-end projector, with an excellent 100 Hz mode. Two points count against it though: how loud it is and the poor default settings. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    With its exclusive lens functions for cinemascope fans, along with an excellent calibrated performance combined with very decent black levels and image contrast, the PT-AE4000 offers exceptionally good images at its price point.     The AE4000 doesn't improve quite as much as we'd like over last year's equivalent Panasonic model, but it's easily the most flexible projector in its class. We still couldn't get totally perfect pictures out of it despite that, but it's nonetheless a very accomplished machine that will leave tinkerers in seventh heaven Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Ik ben zeer tevreden met deze projector. Het eerste wat me opvalt is dat de projector niet echt heel zwaar is en ik heb het idee dat de boven plaat wat goedkoop aanvoelt, maar zou ook kunnen zijn om de warmte niet te veel te geleiden. Lees Meer

    I decided I must write this review because it was from recommendations of others that I found this projector. I want to pass along our experience to anyone else who is having trouble deciding what projector would be best for them. I read many professional reviews and made comparisons of features on lots of projectors.     If you don't really want a 3D projector, It's hard to beat the PT-AE4000U for picture quality, black levels, and overall value.     Personal Experience We have had this projector for several months, replacing a Sharp XZV10000 which was eating light bulbs. Even though we paid 3 times more for the Sharp, the Panasonic has a much better picture--partly from new developments in the 6+years we had the Sharp, I'm sure. But whatever the reason, we love it!
