Looking at the performance of the VPL-HW15 in out of the box settings, added to its price point and then looking at how accurate we can get the images, we have not found anything that would spoil the party. When comparing it against its market rivals, the Sony competes on a level playing field against models like our Highly Recommended Panasonic PT-AE4000 in terms of image quality and black levels, and the only way to separate them is with their added features. With a better remote control, better colour temperature, brightness and energy consumption of just 0.1 W in standby. These are just some of the reasons to prefer the VPL-HW15 to its predecessor, the VPL-HW10. As a downside, it doesn't have Motionflow, a motorised zoom and the relatively weak blacks. I just received it today ( I currently have 2 other projectors, and this is replacing my Sanyo Z3 which is quite nice). The picture, brightness, contrast, and colors look amazing. I mean really, they are movie theater quality. I'm projecting movies onto a wall with no screen, and its still incredibly beautiful to watch. The only thing I was surprised about was the size and weight of the projector. This thing is like 2ft by 1ft and is kinda heavy. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

For some time I had been planning the replacement for my Epson Projector. As usual I read hundreds of reviews on perhaps 20 Projectors and saw as many in operation as I could. In the end I settled on the SONY HW15 VPL. There is a lot of technical detail out there. If you are like me you will read the lot. What they can not describe properly is the truely cinematic feel you get from watching movies on this Projector. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

After too much reading about projectors, with lumens this and color saturation that, I just picked this Sony. The H/T mags seemed to like it, and the price was right. My dedicated H/T room is 22' x 12', and the screen that I made is 102". If a projector could be better, I wouldnt know, this is my first projector. But I honestly couldnt imagine anything better! I just pulled it out of the box and figured out how to turn it on. I couldnt be happier! Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

Super Beamer mit sehr schönem Bild und tollem Schwarz. Das einzige was am Sony VPL-HW15 nervt ist, dass man Lense Shift, Zoom und Focus per Hand einstellen muss (nicht motorgesteuert per Fernbedienung möglich). Wenn das noch abgeschafft werden würde, gäbe es eine 1. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
