    Linksys heeft met de WRT610N-EU een goed apparaat op de markt gebracht. Door de Dual-N band ondersteuning kent hij weinig concurrenten. Op het moment van schrijven zijn de apparaten die gebruik maken van 5GHz erg beperkt, maar dit zal in de toekomst zeker veranderen. Met de WRT610N-EU ben je in ieder geval op de toekomst voorbereid, maar kun je er nu al van genieten. Met een verkoopprijs van 175 euro is dat zeker de overweging waard. Lees Meer

    It was nice getting a chance to play with a high-end Linksys router and see what they've been up to over the past few years.  The WRT610N is currently the fastest consumer oriented router from Linksys and it is indeed just that - fast.  The wireless 802.11n performance is blistering fast as is the mixed mode 802.11g.  I was able to easily connect to either SSID/band and it is interesting to be able to set different encryption to both.  Overall, connectivity and ease Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Unlike Apple’s Wi-Fi base stations with Draft N (802.11n) support, which can be set to use either frequency band, the Linksys WRT610N pushes data over both Wi-Fi spectrum slices at the same time. This allows 802.11b, g, and n over 2.4GHz, and 802.11a and n over 5GHz.     Waarom heb ik dit product gekocht? Na aanschaf van mijn huidige laptop, was ik op zoek naar een goede draadloze router om verbinding te kunnen maken met het internet. De router moest beschikken over genoeg functies, en mede ook geschikt zijn voor glasvezel internet.     Replaced a Linksys G router which worked perfectly. Never touched it after initial setup. The wrt610n has become the bane of my existence, I spend more time trying to get it to work then I do online. STAY FAR AWAY. Was thinking about trying the E4200 but sounds like it is worse then this router. What is with Linksys, they were always touted as the "premium" router by all my IT friends.     I am a Mac-based user, so having a Mac-friendly setup Wizard was a nice surprise. The Wizard was fast and easy and well designed in terms of communicating the setup. Unfortunately, the Wizard created a Location in my Network setup that disabled my Airport Card! No matter what I did, I couldn't seem to enable it — I even tried Terminal level commands to do so.     Bought my first one open box and it did not have a power cable so the store supplied me one. The cable fried the router. The store graciously replaced the router with a new one and there have been no problems ever since. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
