    The scanner has a mind of its own. It operates automatically. There’s an auto-scan function which identifies what kind of printed matter is at hand – then the scanner decides the suitable file format afterwards. Regularly, it renders the file into jpeg format for photos, whereas, larger documents are converted to PDF files. I like this feature very much especially when I’m able to create a digital copy of my published write-ups, it’s like making ebooks. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    We wanted an inexpensive scanner, and we got what we paid for. The scanner itself does a decent job of scanning images, but it isn't as quick as I'd like. It was easy to install, and it works every time we need it. We only scan maybe five pages a week, though, so we'd hardly be good judges of durability. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    After 18 months' of ownership, the device suddenly stopped "resetting" back to the starting position. The only way I can get it to do so is to unplug and replug it in. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    • Cheap. Does the job decently enough. Nice 1-button scan options.
    • Typical antiquated software. Broke after 18 months' use.

    Hallo, der Scanner ist in Ordnung und funktioniert einwandfrei. Ich hatte vorher den LIDE 50, er ist noch in Ordnung konnte ihn aber bei Win7 nicht mehr gebrauchen Ernst Bauerschmitz Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    For several years I'd been happy to scan with my trusty N65U scanner, also from Canon, but an upgrade to a new system that came 64-bit Windows 7 meant that I wasn't able to use it on my new PC. The drivers weren't compatible, and no amount of poking , tweaking and faffing about would persuade the components to work together.
