For several years I'd been happy to scan with my trusty N65U scanner, also from Canon, but an upgrade to a new system that came 64-bit Windows 7 meant that I wasn't able to use it on my new PC. The drivers weren't compatible, and no amount of poking , tweaking and faffing about would persuade the components to work together.
