    This scanner is very durable, easy to store, excellent quality, and it will last for many years. Whenever I quickly need to scan or copy something, it’s fast and easy to pull out the scanner, plug in the USB cable to my computer, and start scanning.     Although the Canon LiDE 200 is not the fastest scanner around, it provides a good option for the budget-conscious consumer; for Mac users with Snow Leopard, it works right out of the box, and Windows/older OS X users need only to install from the CD. The scanner attaches to the computer via USB cable and requires no outside power to run. It is simple, sleek, and relatively sturdy. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    • Lightweight and portable with decent quality scans.
    • The software has taken a bit of getting used to from a previous version of the scanner's.

    It's a fine scanner for light to moderate use. I bought it to relace the nearly identical Canon N67U scanner that I have used for over five years. The old scanner could not be coaxed to work with a 64 bit operating system, so I purchased the LiDE200 as a replacement. It works fine with the 64 bit version of Windows 7. Setup was easy. The software that is provided with the scanner is adequate, but unremarkable. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    I have used scanners since 1991. I have used cheap (as cheap as they get) scanners and I have used extremely expensive scanners. This scanner is not impressive, in fact it is one of the worst scanners I have ever used. I have owned much cheaper scanners producing superior quality scans. Scan quality is worst at 600 dpi and produces strong vertical banding (3 pixels wide) throughout the scanned images especially in the dark areas. Making them totally useless.
