The Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F handles photographic prints and, to a lesser extent, documents reasonably well, but its film scan capability is best ignored. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
- Reasonably capable for photographic prints. Backlight correction and color restore features in driver.
- Film scan doesn't work for slides. Scans only one frame of film at a time. Film scanning is extremely cumbersome.

It's small, can even be used standing up and it can scan your negatives, not just your photos. There's a lot going for the LiDE 700F, even if it the colour problems we found mean that a little retouching will need to be done before you commit to paper. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

The output of the Canon is really quite impressive, especially for such a small device. The colour accuracy and level of detail captured is of a very high standard. We were particularly impressed with the way the 700F picked out subtle colour differences. We’d have liked the dust and scratch removal tools to be a bit more effective but it’s not a major complaint. The OCR tool should also have been a bit more accurate but again it’s not a massive flaw. First I must say that I haven't scanned pictures with this yet, so this review might not be so helpful if that's what you intend to use it for. I bought this mainly to scan documents to send to my OCR program (OmniPage Pro 18). But I do use it quite a lot for that purpose, and it works like a charm. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

I did a lot of searching on-line, and this had the best reviews and specs of any currently sold consumer negative scanner I could find. My experience with it has been very good, no problems. Currently, I've scanned close to one hundred negatives. Most of the complaints/negative reviews have to do with lines on the scans, which just means that the person hasn't figured out how to calibrate the scanner. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

This scanner costs about as much as the 8400F did, but has lower quality, lower resolution, and is dead slow. We're talking 30 seconds for a 200 dpi color scan. The software is "stupified" as in "we took our regular software and made it 'less technical' for the dumber users." It's also less flexible, less usable, and slower to work with. I bought this for some family history i am doing, where people don't want to give up their photos and this is a great travel scanner for the price. I can make a quick scan lab in seconds with my laptop. Would also be great for use say in a library scanning things for a project. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

Ik heb een lide 700f gekocht. Als ik een film wil scannen gaat het apparaat eerst kalibreren. Maar dat lukt niet. Foutmelding code 2,142,0 kan ik nergens vinden. Volgens mij doe ik niets verkeerd... Wie kan helpen? Hans Slingerland.

Bij mij bleek het stekkerplugje van de filmadaptor niet geheel in de FAU aansluiting te zitten. In eerste instantie lijkt het allemaal goed te zitten maar je kan het stekkertje nog net een piepkleinstukje verder er in steken, dan kom je deze bodschap niet meer tegen en calibreert hij keurig waarna je kan gaan
