I was looking for an inexpensive replacement for my old receiver. I needed one that lets me hook up a turntable, and not a lot of units do this. The unit is performing as expected so far and this basic model is doing the job that I needed. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

Needed to replace my wearing-out, early 90's Denon receiver. The price was right for the Onkyo, and I had a great Onkyo receiver in the 70's, so I thought I'd just go ahead and trust the brand. Meh. Works fine, but is not at all as warm or present as my old Denon. It is powering a pair of early 90's Polk Audio speakers. I'll keep it and use it, but I'm missing the Denon.. Next time, I'll spend more, if I can. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

I bought this as an open box special with a great markdown price. I could not even tell that it had been opened. I am using it for my outdoor patio speakers and it has all the power I need and sounds great. There is no aux. input for an ipod but works great with an aux. to RCA connector cable or dock. Nachdem mein guter alter Dual Receiver aufgrund von Korrosionsschäden (lt. Google anscheinend normale Altererscheinung bei dem Modell) jegliches Musikvergnügen vermissen ließ, musste ein Neuer her. Nach langem Stöbern in Foren und Fachzeitschriften fiel die Entscheidung auf den Onkyo TX-8255. Nun läuft das gute Ding seit einigen Wochen und ich muss sagen "Perfekt".
