    Voor veel mensen is de ergonomie van het toetsenbord of de muis een belangrijk deel van het computergebruik. Het maakt het werken achter de computer comfortabeler, wat beter is voor het lichaam. Maar niet iedereen heeft dezelfde opvattingen over wat comfortabel is en wat niet.     We would pick up the Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave over a regular keyboard any day of the week, but we just wish it felt more ergonomic. If you're not looking for a completely ergonomic keyboard, then the Wave isn't such a bad choice. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    The Cordless Desktop Wave is a mid-range set. Because of its specific shape, it may not be suited to everybody. The "pro" version of the Wave set comes with a much better mouse. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    I stand by my assertion that this keyboard tries, and succeeds, to be friendly. It's like a black, hundred-some-key, wireless smiley face. The flexibility that SetPoint brings to the media and function keys is outstanding, and more than what most people will ever want from this set. But it's no workhorse. I'm a straight-keyboard guy through and through, but even ergonomic-keyboarders will admit that this hardware is designed with comfort before efficiency. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    Ultimately, though, the main attraction of the Cordless Desktop Wave kit is the keyboard. Is it truly more comfortable than its competitors? Well, we don't quite agree with Logitech's no-adjustment or zero-learning-curve claim: We're not bad at touch typing, but when we tried to log onto the office network immediately after installing the Wave, we had to call the IT department after we got locked out for misspelling our password three times.     I love this keyboard. The pad makes my wrists are very comfortable. I don't have any problems like others said. It is just perfect. It also comes with a plastic cover which can prevent the dusts. I am very happy with it. The only thing is that the edges got really sharp when I cut it by scissors, so I had to use the tape to wrap it. I hope the design of the cover could be better.     Easy to use and very form fitting, this keyboard is comfortable and good for it's price, about $40. However, at $40, I expected more when it comes to noise control. Some people say believe that it's idiotic to bash a keyboard for being too "loud", but to tell you the truth, it does make or break a product choice. It's loud and I got it for $40 bucks so I expected something quieter which required less push strength. But it does produce a satisfying click. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    • Low cost, does what it is supposed do. The wave design does help type faster and the wrist cushion is definitely useful. Feels sturdy enough & its wireless.

    Here we have the brand new Logitech Wave keyboard. It comes in two flavors. The first, and the one this review is about, is the corded (USB) Wave keyboard. The second is called the Cordless Desktop Wave, that of which includes the Wave keyboard as well as a LX8 laser mouse. Of course both of those are wireless. Now, onto the review. Logitech Wave Keyboard

Het Wave Keyboard is een ergonomisch toetsenbord van Logitech, gecertificeerd door Windows Vista en bovendien compatibel met Macs. Het toetsenbord is uitgerust met Logitech Setpoint-software voor het configureren van de programmeerbare F-toetsen. Het Logitech Wave Keyboard is ook voorzien van audiokabelbeheer; onderaan het toetsenbord bevindt zich een kanaal, waar je de kabels van je headset doorheen kunt leiden.

Ergonomie

Anders dan het geval is bij volledig ergonomische toetsenborden, heeft Logitech Wave geen gespleten layout. Het ergonomische toetsenbord heeft een constante curve en een golvende vormgeving, waardoor de toetsen dichter bij de vingers zijn geplaatst. Dit bevordert het gebruikerscomfort. Volgens Logitech is het ontwerp bedoeld om de leercurve van de toetsenborden met volledig gespleten layout te elimineren, terwijl de vormgeving tegelijkertijd zorgdraagt voor een betere handpositie dan de gangbare, rechte toetsenborden. Het toetsenbord heeft bovendien een gebogen handsteun die van vulling is voorzien.

Toetsenbordfuncties

Het Logitech Wave Keyboard heeft toegewezen multimediatoetsen, waaronder een tuimelschakelaar voor het volume, knoppen om het Media Center (of Front Row op Macs) te starten, en knoppen voor de muziekspeler en de foto-viewer. Op de linkerrand van het toetsenbord vind je knoppen voor toegang tot Flip 3D en Zoom op Windows Vista. Het toetsenbord heeft ook een toegewezen toets voor het starten van een Calculator-applicatie.

Behalve de toegewezen toetsen, heeft de Logitech Wave ook programmeerbare F-toetsen. De F-toetsen hebben vaste instellingen voor het starten van Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, bureaublad doorzoeken, het e-mailprogramma, de webbrowser, instant messaging en ook een toets voor het uitwerpen van verwisselbare opslagmedia. Ook beschikt het toetsenbord over drie toetsen die kunnen worden geprogrammeerd met behulp van de SetPoint-software.
