For the price this is a suprisingly good camera. Its image is reasonably sharp, has good color and works well in bright light. The night testing shots are a bit dull and muddy though. In very low light, the image is rather dark but you can still make out the subject. From the design, it would appear this is the new replacement for the older QuickCam Chat released back in 2006 and maybe the QuickCam Connect from 2008, (both sold for $30). This one is much better. - Spring loaded base is difficult to mount, Muddy or dark image in night time tests

Do not buy this web cam,does not come with microphone,spend a little more and get a real one. Pinche cámara no sirve pa'nada,no mal gaste su dinero, lamentablemente no leí las caracteristicas de subsodicha y no entiendo como pueden fabricar una cámara para laptop sin micrófono.................. I purchased this webcam because it is at a good price, and Logitech is a quite reliable brand. However, whilst I can get the camera to work, I have had a number of install and setup problems, and I still cannot obtain full functionality. I am not certain what the problem is, but I shall soldier on! This is wasting a lot of my time, though. Mainly, the device is too bright, and I cannot change the settings.
