    When used during the day the Microsoft VX-5000 offers nice image quality and precise sound via its integrated micro. Otherwise, rendering at night is a bit dark. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    The Microsoft LifeCam VX-5000 is a great webcam with a range of video settings from 160 x 120 up to 640 x 420 resolution. The video and images recorded on this camera are of excellent quality even in low light situations. The videos that the hardware-pacers staff recorded using this camera were filmed in many different lighting situations and still all motion video was of high caliber quality.     The LifeCam's packaging was very nice but came with a rather spartan accompany of materials. However, Microsoft's software support was particularly good and the appropriate software, drivers and chat program were all terribly easy to find, install and easy. The LifeCam VX-5000 itself looks great. The size of the camera is very compact, which makes it very easy to place the camera wherever I'd need, making it unobtrusive.     What more could a simpleton like me need. Easy to set up and never had an issue. It does video chat on Skype well and my 10 year old cousin had hours of fun with the face altering software that came with the camera (so did i). That's all i need from a webcam. It lost one star for the mount, its a little unstable and can be awkward when trying to get it to stay still on top of my screen. But that is a minor flaw. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    installed on several other systems without any issues. I communicate with those systems frequently and it works very well....bought on another site for 20 bucks Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    • on Win 7 64 bit pro, just plugin, and it installs....works gr8 on Skype
    • don't install the bloatware on the install disk

    Overall, I really like this little webcam. The webcam usb cord is long. The quality is not HD but it is HQ. It has great microphone quality. For some reason, my webcam feels hot on the back of it when I plug it in to my computer after a few mins. The webcam software is compatible with Windows 7. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    I really like the microsoft webcam. I bought this webcam because I was going to Afghanistan and I wanted to use it to Skype my family while I was gone. I found it to be very good quality as far as durability goes. I like that it has a flexible base. It has allowed me to put it numerous places where I have found myself besides just sitting on a desk infront of me.
