    While there is no way to determine whether a game is headed for greatness after one hour of gameplay, Jade Empire is the most exciting game of 2005 that we’ve seen to date. The visuals are absolutely breathtaking with a style that rivals that of a blockbuster movie.     It would be easy to say that Jade Empire is just “KOTOR” in ancient China with stripped down mechanics and a more action-oriented combat system. The sad fact is, if I had to describe the game to someone in one sentence that is what I would have to say. Despite the game’s many shortcomings though, it is still a very entertaining title that I would definitely recommend to anybody who are into role-playing titles, or anyone who wants to know what American role-playing...     You can probably judge for yourself just by looking at the length difference between the two sections that this is a good game. In fact, I’ll say that despite its shortcomings, Jade Empire is an awesome game . There’s incredible depth, high production values, and a story that starts out rather generic, but turns into a flat-out epic. What more could you ask for in a game? Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    The first thing to notice after getting into the game is the amount of detail in the environment - it's obvious that each area has had a lot of care to put into it. Close up the graphical quality of items isn't great, but the game has a beauty in the detail and styling of the environment. The musical score is very nice too, very high quality and original, as is the voice acting – the lines are all delivered with feeling and timing, and are mostly very well written.     Buy this game! This game is by the creators of KOTR, Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Even though it is an original xbox it has good graphics for the time it was made and is just as good as KOTR. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    This was an excellent RPG. The story line is interesting and the graphics were fantastic. This is one of those games that when you start playing it, it's hard to put down the controller. One drawback I found was that there were not enough skill points gained to really improve each of the fighting styles available to use, so a person ends up sticking with the strongest styles. But this slight drawback didn't hamper the enjoyment of the game at all. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    So lately I've gone to game stores to buy used Xbox games because 360 games are really expensive. I'm about to borrow Mass Effect from my friend so I've decided to finish KoTOR (which was a fantastic and I'll probably write a review on it one I have enought time) and buy Jade Empire. These two games were both developed by Bioware and I felt it would be cool to play though the entire Bioware saga. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands

    • great story, lots of martial arts styles, visuals are nice, lots of historic writing
    • shallow combat, limited character customizations

    Okay, so it would be biased of me to give an all-around glowing review seeing as this is the first game I've ever finished. It is a wonderful game though, and to those of you that like Fable and are wondering if this is good, play it! You start off creating your character (and I recommend customization to the extreme, it helps in the long run), choosing gender and character type. Lees Meer Translate to Nederlands
